In 2023, Epic Games presented a second-generation demo called Electric Dreams. So, we highly recommend downloading it from here. It’s a demo that gives you an idea of how a future game will run on your PC. This tech demo isn’t as impressive as some other UE5 demos, but at least it looks really good. Moreover, there is a feature similar to Quake 2, which allows fly, bees and butterflies to appear in specific scenarios (in Q2, it was in dead enemies and in this video demo is during summer time). The demo is rich in ragdoll physics, where the character falls from a height, as well as collecting snow and dust on buildings and clothing. Clothing, buildings and other objects get cold and rain soaked. The Old West: Northwood Tech Demo features many modern-day features, such as water ripples with character interactions, dynamic wind effects and snow trailers with VFX.
This update turns the demo in to the latest version of Epics Engine, UE5.2, makes it easier to develop and use graphics like this and adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 3. StunningVanilla released the Next-Gen update for the Old West: Northwood Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.
